Ik gebruik van tijd tot tijd een mascara-topcoat, toen de niet-waterdichte mascara die ik gebruik niet zo waterbestendig of lang draagt, omdat ik het voor de dag nodig heb. Waarom draag ik niet gewoon een waterdichte mascara om mee te beginnen, zeg je? Laat me je een paar redenen vertellen:
1) Waterdichte mascaras zijn te hard voor mij om dagelijks te dragen – het verwijderen waardoor mijn wimpers meer uitvallen
2) Waterdichte mascaras zijn hydrofobe, wat betekent dat het echter niet oplost in water, maar door die aard heeft het oleofillische eigenschappen, wat betekent dat het in olie oplost. Wat gebeurt er wanneer iemand met olieachtige oogleden een waterdichte mascara draagt? Smudge City.

2) De duidelijke mascara-topcoat is wat aan mijn huid wordt blootgesteld, dus zelfs als het enigszins oleofillisch is en een beetje oplost met mijn olieachtige deksels, is er geen kleuroverdracht / smudging.
(In tegenstelling tot mijn tekenvaardigheden voegt de topcoat geen dikke laag boven de mascara toe, het is vrij naadloos en maakt mijn wimpers niet of spidery)

Dat gezegd hebbende, is dit bericht echt over mijn favoriete mascara-topcoat, wat de Clarins Double Fix ‘Mascara ($ 24 voor 7 ml) is. Het wordt beschreven als een “waterdichte film” voor wimpers en wenkbrauwen “. Het doet een fantastische taak om mijn niet-waterdichte mascara’s te houden van het krijgen van smoegy. Het was een redderetsaver voor de prestige mijn grootste wimpers mascara – deze topcoat verhoogde die mascara van een 7 tot een 9 beoordeling.

Het is een natuurlijke brouwse toverstaf die het duidelijke product op mijn mascara stort. Mijn methode is om mijn mascara aan te brengen zoals per normaal, laat het drogen, kam het dan uit met een lashkam. Dan pas ik de mascara-topcoat toe. Daarna is gedroogd, ik kam het helemaal opnieuw. Deze topcoat maakt al mijn minder waterbestendige mascaras direct waterdicht en vlekvrij.

Het label toont een levensduur van 36 maanden na het openen, wat vrij lang is voor een oogproduct! Ik gebruik dit product niet dagelijks – gemiddeld draag ik het waarschijnlijk ongeveer een keer per week, maar de mijne gaat op 12 maanden en het is absoluut tijd om te gooien. En terwijl ik dit dol op ben, was ik terughoudend om $ 24 te schellen voor een vervanging.

Ik wendde zich tot alternatieven. De enige die voor mij beschikbaar waren, waren:
BAREMINERALES Gesloten en gecoate Waterdichte Lash Topcoat – $ 15 – goedkoper dan Clarins met $ 9, en 0,5 ml meer product
Anastasia Beverly Hills Lash Genius Waterdichte Topcoat – $ 28 – duurder dan de Clarins met $ 4

Mijn beslissing is voor mij gemaakt – de baremineralen die het is! (die ik heb gekocht tijdens de SEPHORA VIB-verkoop). De BAREMINERALEN TOPCOAT wordt gemaakt in Italië – hetzelfde als Clarins.

De toverstok is veel kleiner in vergelijking met de Clarins, en het is gemaakt van siliconen. De formule leek ongeveer hetzelfde te zijn – een melkachtige gel die helder is. Ik heb deze topcoat getest met de Prestige mijn grootste wimpers voor een week. Het presteerde heel dicht bij de Clarins, maar ik merkte echter dat het inconsistent was in termen van coating al mijn wimpers – ik zou soms s avonds in de avond smoeten krijgen, maar alleen in bepaalde gebieden. Ik heb geprobeerd dit te bestrijden door meer ijverig en grondig te zijn bij het coaten van al mijn wimpers, maar de resultaten waren niet hetzelfde. Ik vermoed dat de korte borstelharen van de Bareminerals Wand het moeilijker maken om elke wimper volledig te coaten, in vergelijking met de vollers van de Clarins. Mijn voorkeur is nog steeds de Clarins voor Budge-Proof-wimpers.

Een paar minder belangrijke details waarvan ik hou van de Clarins Topcoat is dat de buis geen cirkel is, maar eerder een ovaal, dus het rolt niet op een tafel. Ook is er een klikmechanisme wanneer u de dop sluit. Het is de aandacht voor de kleine details die me pakken!

Dus terwijl ze allebei heel goed presteerden, was het bezorgsysteem – de toverstaf – slechts een beetje beter met de Clarins One. Zodra ik klaar ben met het gebruik van de baremineralen, kan ik gewoon teruggaan naar de Clarins, of ik kan de NYX een bezienswaardig zijn die is beoordeeld! Ik hoop dat ze dat lokaal verkopen.

In terms of packaging format, the pot serves its function – I’m not sure if this product might work in a stick format, which would be preferable.

Despite Becca being an Australian company, this product is made in the USA.
